Dr. Meyers Accepts Partner of the Year Award on Behalf of the Cares Foundation

Dr. Fred Meyers accepted the Partner of the Year Award from the Community Against Sexual Harm on behalf of the CARES Foundation in September 2024

Dr. Fred Meyers, Board President, accepted the 2024 Partner of the Year Award from the Community Against Sexual Harm (CASH) on behalf of the CARES Foundation.  CASH recognized the Foundation during its well-attended annual fundraiser as playing an integral part in their organization’s successes.  Most critically, during 2024 the Foundation was instrumental in supporting CASH’s efforts to establish a Women’s Wellness Clinic to provide health and wellness services at CASH in partnership with the Mercy Family Health Center.  

Over the past 16 years, 10 of which have included support from the CARES Foundation, CASH has served sexually exploited women in a non-judgmental space through survivor-led peer support and harm reduction services. CASH has evolved to provide health and wellness services, including HIV and STI testing and mental healthcare.  Beyond the in-house services at CASH, the outreach program offers training and education to the greater community on the unique needs of trafficked women.
